There also is a video on YouTube of Ed doing "She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye" that sounds like it was from the same era. What year was this? Is there any more of this material available?

Email Address: coachrz@suddenlink.net My favorite Ed Bruce song is "Theme From Bret Maverick." It inspired me to write a song just for fun about my old high school basketball team from Harts, WV, titled "Harts Didn't Come Here to Lose!"

Harts High School's first graduation was 1958 and it was shut down in 2006, after winning over 700 basketball games, including 3 WV State Championships and 12 State Tournament appearances.

I just wanted you to know what a blessing we received that day from your testimony and music. We also witnessed your compassion for a man confined to a wheelchair. Though you must have been hot and tired, you took the time to share an autographed photo & CD with him. When my husband witnessed this, as you walked by he said, "God Bless you," to which you replied, "he already has." May he continue to walk beside you. Thank you for being a witness for Christ, not only through song but through your actions. God Bless.

Back in the early 80's I started jocking and worked my way up to program director for a small station in Southern New Mexico where I grew up. Still fondly remember spinning Ed Bruce records(not CDs) and it's still some of the best country ever made.They really don't make it any more you know. Hope this day finds you well. Take care.
